Lion Cubs
These pictures of lion cubs were taken in zimbabwe. They were in a reserve specifically focused on building up the lion population. The cubs are touched as little as possible by human hand in order to minimise the human interaction that they have.
Gestation period for the cubs is 110 days. Each lioness gives birth to a litter of 2-4 cubs. Only half of the cubs survive.
Cubs will start going hunting with the mother at around 3 months but will stay close to them until they are 2.
While the cubs are lively they like all animals need to rest. The picture below shows a cub resting in the shade.
