Monkey Pictures

These monkey pictures were taken in Africa.

They are mainly of the more commonly seen Vervet Monkey.

Vervet Monkeys have become used to humans in the near vicinity and are very aware that they usually carry food.

They are very bold and quite happy to walk in to the area occupied by humans to steal bread and cakes.

The problem is quite widespread and many game parks have put in measures to make sure that people or not continually bothered. We were lucky to see a number of mothers carrying their baby monkeys.

Above, right, see two young monkeys playing in a tree. The picture below shows a mother with its baby and a young monkey.

These last two monkeys are alder monkeys.
