St Pancras Art
Starting St Pancras Art at St Pancras church.
Outside the church you find this sculpture, which is of Archangel Michael - The Protector by Emily Young 2004 and has the inscription
" In memory of the victims of the 7th July 2005 bombings and all victims of violence. 'I will lift up my eyes unto the hills' Psalm 121"
Though I did not go in this time, I will re-visit the church. The crypt contains an art gallery to visit.
Not far up the road is the British Library where I had a cup of coffee and looked at the art.
A large bronze sculpture of Newton by Eduarso Paolozzi.
Around the seating area in the outside area of the British Library are a number of stone sculptures by Antony Gormley. He is the creator of the Angel of the North - a figure part-human, part-divine, part-heavy engineering - placed beside the A1 at Gateshead.
And in the foyer.
A sculpture called "Sitting on History" by Bill Woodrow.
Having seen a wealth of art, I went home happy.
