The London Eye

The London Eye was opened just after the turn of the millenium, in March 2009. It had been underconstruction since 1998. Today it is a landmark for those who regularly travel to London and a tourist attraction to those who visit less often.

I have been on the eye at least four times I still marvel at the view. I have been on sunny days, on rainy days and at dusk. The dusk 'flight' was fantastic - not only were there no queues but the colours were spectacular.

As dusk falls the pictures below show the eye, standing high above a statue for the Dali exhibition. There is a photograph, and some computer manipulated pictures in coloured pencil and in black and white.
